 Kirby: Thoughts on Death

This video uses excerpts from an interview with my grandfather, to convey a deeper story about his fear of drowning, loss of his wife and desire to rule the world. This work will be included in a solo Exhibition in 2007 at Nexus Foundation for the Arts in Philadelphia.

JENNIE THWING (US)
Jennie Thwing is a media/video installation artist from Philadelphia (USA.) She is an Assistant Professor in Digital Media at Rowan University. Her work centers around the “identity” in crisis. She has exhibited her work at the Institute for Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, the Creative Alliance in Baltimore, the Center for Art and Visual Culture in Baltimore, School 33 in Baltimore, Raleigh Studios in Baltimore, the Cork Factory in Baltimore and has several upcoming solo shows in 2007 at Nexus Foundation for the Arts in Philadelphia and School 33 in Baltimore.
