Formed
in 2003, Brooklyn based New Humans make collaborative works including
music, video, art installations, clothing collaborations (w. United
Bamboo, Whole Cloth), and sound recordings. Repetitive patterning, collapsing
boundary and object, unraveling ...
New Humans described in press:
Brooklyn's New Humans blur the boundaries between art and
rock, exploring the spatial possibilties between sound and vision ...
Whatever their artistic bent, New Humans rock, but in a fashion that

The New Humans create sonic art performances, pushing aural
and visual expression to a gesamtkunstwerke, or all-encompassing synthesis.
Founding members Mika Tajima and Howie Chen, along with one or two rotating
members, construct site-specific installations informed by minimalism
and Op art, in which they play noise and experimental music. (artkrush)
New Humans
began out of bassist Mika Tajima's art practice and continues to be
a large part of her investigation of space and minimalist concepts.
